The Stonewall Jackson Hotel is a historic hotel in Staunton Virginia built in 1924. Designed by H.L. Stevens it is considered an excellent example of the architect’s work in the Colonial Revival style. Located in the mezzanine the hotel is the only known working 1924 Wurlitzer Organ.[citation needed] The organ has been precisely restored to it original condition and tone. The hotel’s neon sign was erected about 1950 and has become a major downtown landmark.
