David Stewart Cross (19 December 1928 – 27 December 1989) was the 2nd Bishop of Doncaster who was later translated to Blackburn.Educated at Trinity College Dublin he was ordained in 1955. His first post was as a curate at Hexham. A noted broadcaster he was Precentor of St Albans Cathedral before his ordination to the episcopate.
