Steven L. Abrams (born in 1958 in Des Moines Iowa) is an American politician. He is the first mayor of Palm Beach County in the U.S. state of Florida. He previously served as chairman of the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners. He represents District 4 on the county commission. Abrams is the former mayor of the City of Boca Raton Florida. A lawyer he was elected mayor in March 2001 and re-elected in 2003 and 2005. He previously served as a city council member from 1989-1999.
