Stephen Charles Smith (born 1955) is an economist author and educator. He is Professor of Economics and International Affairs at George Washington University. He is also a Non-resident Senior Fellow of the Brookings Institution; and a Research Fellow of the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA). He directs GW’s Research Program in Poverty Development and Globalization.
