The Stendal Nuclear Power Station (German: Kernkraftwerk Stendal) in East Germany was to be on of the largest nuclear power stations in Germany. After German reunification and due to concerns about the Soviet design construction was stopped and the power station was never completed. In the 1990s the three cooling towers which had been erected were demolished and the area is an industrial estate today.
