Stanley Memorial Library is the Laurel Maryland branch of the Prince George’s County Memorial Library System located at the intersection of Seventh Street and Talbott Avenue. The library is named after the family of Charles H. Stanley a city commissioner (1880–1882) mayor (1891–1893) and state comptroller (1911–1912).The library opened in 1967 and completed a major expansion in the 1990s. Having outgrown its present site there are plans to build a new facility on the site or elsewhere.
