Stan Rule (born 17 January 1924) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL) during the late 1940s. Rule a Victorian interstate representative in 1949 was used as both a follower and defender at Melbourne. In their 1948 premiership team he was the former while in 1946 he played from the back pocket in a losing Grand Final. He went to Wodonga in 1951 as captain-coach.
