The St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival is a five-day film festival held in St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador during the month of October.Founded in 1989 by Alison Dyer with Noreen Golfman Peggy Norman and others as a means of supporting and celebrating women filmmakers world wide the festival has grown to incorporate industry film forums and workshops as well as a summer film camp for high school students (FRAMED) and a province-wide screening tour (Films On The Go).
