Spanish Americans (Spanish: españoles-americanos norteamericanos de origen español or estadounidenses de origen español) are Americans whose ancestors originate from the southwestern European nation of Spain. Spanish Americans are the longest-established European-American group with a continuous presence in Florida since 1565 and are the eighth-largest Hispanic group in the United States.
