The Southland Sharks are a New Zealand professional basketball team competing in the New Zealand National Basketball League. The team is based in Invercargill Southland and plays their home games at the Stadium Southland. The Sharks won their first NBL championship in 2013 in their fourth year as a franchise. The Southern Institute of Technology are the Sharks main sponsor.
