Southern Railway 1643 is a steam locomotive built in 1905 by the Pittsburgh Works of the American Locomotive Company for the Southern Railway. It is a 0-6-0 Switch engine of Southern’s A-7 class.In 1952 the engine was sold to the Morehead & North Fork Railroad in Morehead Kentucky. Renumbered 12 the locomotive operated on the M&NF until the road dieselized in 1963. After the engine was retired it remained stored in one of the road’s engine sheds.
