Solamargine is a poisonous chemical compound that occurs in plants of the Solanaceae family such as potatoes tomatoes and eggplants. It is a glycoalkaloid derived from solasodine.Solamargine was one component of the unsuccessful experimental cancer drug candidate Coramsine.
