The Social Democratic Party of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Bosnian: Socijaldemokratska Partija Bosne i Hercegovine SDP BiH) is a multi-ethnic social-democratic political party in Bosnia and Herzegovina.The party is the successor of the League of Communists of Bosnia and Herzegovina and was enlarged by the inclusion of the Socijaldemokrati BiH party to the original SDP.The current president of the party is Bosniak Zlatko Lagumdžija Bosnian foreign minister.In the 2010 legislative elections the party won: 1 out of 3 seats in the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina 8 out of 42 seats in the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina 28 out of 98 seats in the House of Representatives of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina 1 out of 2 Vice Presidential seats in Republic of Srpska 3 out 83 seats in the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska 13 out of 35 seats in the assembly of the Tuzla Canton 8 out of 30 seats in the assembly of the Una-Sana Canton 10 out of 35 seats in the assembly of the Sarajevo Canton 7 out of 25 seats in the assembly of the Bosnian Podrinje Canton 10 out of 35 seats in the assembly of the Zenica-Doboj Canton 6 out of 30 seats in the assembly of the Central Bosnia Canton 5 out of 30 seats in the assembly of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton 1 out of 21 seats in the assembly of the Posavina Canton 1 out of 25 seats in the assembly of Livno Canton The party won none of the 23 seats in the assembly of West Herzegovina CantonIn local (mayoral and city council) elections held on 7 October 2012 the party exceeded their own expectations.
