Siumut (lit. Forward) is a social-democratic political party in Greenland and an observer member of the Socialist International. It is led by Aleqa Hammond member of the Greenlandic Parliament who is the first woman ever to lead the party. In legislative elections on 15 November 2005 the party won 30.7% of the popular vote and 10 out of 31 seats in the Landsting.
