The Shanghai–Nanjing Intercity High-Speed Railway or Huning Intercity High-Speed Railway (simplified Chinese: 沪宁城际高速铁路; traditional Chinese: 滬寧城際高速鐵路; pinyin: Hùníng Gāosù Tiělù)[citation needed] is a 301-kilometre (187 mi) long high-speed rail line between Shanghai and Nanjing in the People’s Republic of China. Hu and Ning are respectively shorthand Chinese names for Shanghai and Nanjing.
