Shane Rose (born 24 April 1973 in Sydney New South Wales) is an Australian equestrian who won a silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing as part of the three-day eventing team.As a child Rose lived with his parents and three siblings in Duffys Forest New South Wales joining the local Pony Club when he was 5. was He was educated at Newington College Preparatory School Lindfield (1978–83) and Pittwater House.
