Sebacoyl chloride (or sebacoyl dichloride) is a di-acyl chloride with formula C10H16Cl2O2.Sebacoyl chloride is a light-yellow liquid with a pungent odor soluble in hydrocarbons and ethers.Sebacoyl chloride is corrosive; like all acyl chlorides it hydrolyzes in water rapidly evolving hydrogen chloride. Sebacoyl chloride can be reacted with hexamethylenediamine to give the polymer nylon-610.
