Scripps Mercy Hospital is a private Catholic teaching hospital located in San Diego California. Founded in 1890 it is the oldest hospital in San Diego County and has campuses in Chula Vista California and Hillcrest a neighborhood of San Diego. The hospital has 700 acute-care licensed beds and employs 1300 physicians. The Hillcrest campus is home to one of only two regional Level I Trauma Centers and receives more than 2100 trauma patients each year.
