Sapthagiri (Telugu:సప్తగిరి Tamil: ஸப்தகிரி Sanskrit:सप्तगिरि) which is also called Tirumala Hill is situated in hill town of Tirumala near Tirupati in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh India. It is around 600 km (370 mi) from Hyderabad 138 km (86 mi) from Chennai and 291 km (181 mi) from Bangalore.This hill is 853m above sea level and is about 10.33 square miles (27 km2) in area. It comprises seven peaks representing the seven heads of Adisesha thus earning the name Seshachalam.
