Samuel Walker McCall (February 28 1851 – November 4 1923) was a member of the United States House of Representatives and the 47th Governor of Massachusetts. He was born in East Providence Township Pennsylvania on February 28 1851. McCall spent his early life in Illinois and attended the Mount Carroll Seminary in Mount Carroll from 1864 to 1866 when that school closed to male students. The Seminary was later known as Shimer College.
