Samuel H. West (July 17 1872 – October 5 1938) was a United States federal judge.Born in Waubeck Linn County Iowa West moved to Bellefontaine Ohio in 1891 and read law in the office of his uncle William H. West. He entered the bar in 1893 and entered private practice in Bellefontaine Ohio. He served in the United States Army Second Ohio Infantry during the Spanish-American War.
