Samuel (/ˈsæm.juː.əl/; Hebrew: שְׁמוּאֵל Modern Shmu’el Tiberian Šəmûʼēl; Greek: Σαμουήλ Samouēl; Latin: Samvel; Arabic: صموئيل Ṣamoel; Strong’s: Shemuwel) is a leader of ancient Israel in the Books of Samuel in the Hebrew Bible.
