The Sampur Coal Power Station (also known as the Trincomalee Coal Power Station) is a large coal-fired power station currently under construction in Sampur Trincomalee Sri Lanka. The MoU for the first 500 MW phase was signed on the 2006 between the Government of Sri Lanka Ceylon Electricity Board and the National Thermal Power Corporation.
