Sambhaji was elder son of Shahaji Raje Bhosale and Jijabai. He was brother of great Maratha king Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Sambhaji was born in 1623 and was a great favorite of his father. At the time of Sambhaji’s birth Shahaji was general in the court of Adil Shah.He was killed in 1658 at age of 33 in Kanakgiri by Afzalkhan
