In the lateral wall of the nasopharynxaround the opening of the auditory tube (Eustachian tube) the salpingopalatine fold smaller than the salpingopharyngeal fold contains some fibers of muscle called salpingopalatine muscle by Simkins (1943) it stretches from the superior lateral border of the cartilage to the palate anteroinferiorly back of the hard palate.
