S Ori 52 is an astronomical object of an uncertain nature in the Delta Orionis cluster and is in spectral class L. It was first observed using the W. M. Keck Observatory in Mauna Kea. Its mass is estimated to be between 2 and 8 Jupiter masses. The exact nature of the object remains controversial and studies show it could be a sub-brown dwarf a isolated planet or that it could simply be an older brown dwarf lying in the foreground of the Orionis cluster.
