S/2004 N 1 is a small moon of Neptune about 18 km (11 mi) in diameter which orbits the planet in just under one Earth day. Its discovery on 1 July 2013 increased Neptune’s retinue of known satellites to fourteen. The moon is so dim that it was not observed when Voyager 2 flew by in 1989.
