The S-train (Danish: S-tog) network is an urban rail network which serves Copenhagen city centre surrounding boroughs as well as several suburbs in the Copenhagen area in Denmark. It connects the city centre the inner and the outer boroughs and suburbs with each other. (With exception of Amager Island) The average distance between stations is 2.0 km shorter in the city core and inner boroughs longer at the end of lines that serves suburbs.
