Royal Derby Hospital (formerly Derby City General Hospital) is one of two teaching hospitals in the city of Derby the other being the London Road Community Hospital. It is the second largest hospital in the East Midlands and is one of the largest hospitals in the UK. The two hospitals are run by Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital has completed a massive rebuild doubling the size of the buildings.
