The Rothmans 50000 was a motor race held at the Brands Hatch circuit on August 28 1972. The race was held to Formula Libre rules and the prize fund amounted to £50000. Emerson Fittipaldi driving a Lotus 72 F1 car won the race from pole whilst Brian Redman driving a McLaren M19A F1 car took second and Henri Pescarolo driving a March 711 F1 car finished third.
