Romy Kermer married name Österreich (born 28 July 1956 in Karl-Marx-Stadt (Chemnitz) Saxony East Germany/GDR) is a German pair skater and figure skating coach. With Rolf Österreich she is the 1976 Olympic silver medalist.Romy Kermer began skating in Karl-Marx-Stadt and became a pair skater already there. Her first partner was Tassilo Thierbach. 1972 she moved to Berlin and skated there at the club SC Dynamo Berlin. Her coach was Heidemarie Seiner-Walther.
