The Italian Catholic Diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio (Latin: Dioecesis Placentina-Bobiensis) in central Italy has existed since 1989. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Modena-Nonantola. The historic Diocese of Piacenza was combined with the territory of the diocese of Bobbio-San Colombano which was briefly united with the archdiocese of Genoa. In 1582 Piacenza was made a suffragan of the archdiocese of Bologna; it was later dependent upon the Holy See. The current bishop is Gianni Ambrosio.
