The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kandy (Lat: Dioecesis Kandiensis) is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church in Sri Lanka. Originally erected as the apostolic vicariate of Kandy in 1883 the diocese was elevated to a full diocese in 1886 and became a suffragan to the Archdiocese of Colombo. In 1972 part of the diocese was split off to form the Diocese of BadullaThe current bishop is Joseph Vianney Fernando appointed in 1983.
