Rolando Ortíz Velázquez is a Puerto Rican politician and the current mayor of Cayey. Ortíz is affiliated with the Popular Democratic Party (PPD) and has served as mayor since 1997.Before being elected mayor Ortíz served as member of the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico from 1993 to 1997. He represented District 29.At the 2012 general election Ortíz received 73.29% of the votes.
