Rod Austin (born 26 January 1953) is a former Australian rules footballer who played as a defender for the Carlton Blues from 1972 until 1985.Austin won a premiership with Carlton in 1979 and after retiring as a player he became a coach. He started his coaching career with Footscray Reserves leading them to the premiership in 1988.
