Rock Urbano (Spanish for Urban Rock) is subgenre of Hard Rock originated in Spain (not to be mistaken with Mexican Rock Urbano) at late 1970s. The lyrics deal with marginal issues (alcohol drugs prostitution) social injustices and other problems emphasizing the more marginal side of urban life.It has its own defined sound and lyrics; musically it tends to be devoid of the bluesy influences characteristic of most classic hard rock acts such as Led Zeppelin Thin Lizzy or Deep Purple.
