Robert Sidney Ladds SSC (born 15 November 1941) is an English bishop who served as the suffragan Bishop of Whitby from 1999 to 2008.Ladds was educated at Canterbury Christ Church University.He began his ordained ministry in 1981 as a curate in Hythe Kent and was then successively chaplain to Stewart Cross (Bishop of Blackburn) Vicar of Bretherton Rector of Preston and finally (before his ordination to the episcopate) Archdeacon of Lancaster (1997–1999).
