Robert Leighton Hodson (1885–1960) was the second Bishop of Shrewsbury in the modern era.Educated at Berkhamsted School and St Edmund Hall Oxford he was successively Curate at St Peter’s Collegiate Church Wolverhampton Vicar of St Stephen’s Cheltenham Rector of St Peter’s and Rural Dean of Wolverhampton and finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) Archdeacon of Stafford. He retired in 1959 but died only a year later.
