Robert Rob Kauffman (born June 9 1964 in Sharon Connecticut) is an American businesman investment banker racing team owner and racing driver. Founder of Fortress Investment Group and regarded as a highly successful investor; Kauffman retired from investing in 2012. In October 2007 Kauffman purchased part ownership of Michael Waltrip Racing a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team.
