Roan Carneiro (born June 2 1978) is a Brazilian mixed martial artist who competes in the welterweight division. He holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and is a Pan-Am BJJ champion. On January 14 2008 he joined American Top Team.From 2007 until 2008 he fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Following his release from his contract after his loss at UFC 88 he signed with the World Cagefighting Alliance.
