River City Centre is a type of a big box shopping centre or power centre in the north industrial area of Saskatoon. Some of the anchors are Sport Mart Sears Home Scott’s Parable Christian Stores Dollarama and Staples Business Depot. A Giant Tiger store opened in the former Winners location.[citation needed]It was the first development of its kind in Saskatoon and was followed within a few years by more clearly defined big box developments in the city.[citation needed]
