Richard Lawrence Collins is an American aviation author and journalist.Collins earned his private pilot license in 1952 and has since logged over 20000 hours in general aviation airplanes. He is the son of Leighton Collins who was a well-known aviation writer pioneering flight safety advocate and founder of Air Facts magazine.
