Richard Stephen Hawkins (born 2 April 1939) is a bishop in the Church of England and is currently a Chapter Canon of Exeter Cathedral.Born in 1939 and educated at Exeter College Oxford he trained for ordination at St Stephen’s House Oxford. In his early career he served as a team vicar in rural Devon and the city of Exeter. Then he was Archdeacon of Totnes before elevation to the episcopate as Bishop of Plymouth.
