Richard Buckner Gruelle (February 22 1851 Cynthiana Kentucky – November 4 1914 Indianapolis Indiana) was an American Impressionist painter who was a member of the Hoosier Group of Indiana landscape painters.He moved to Norwalk Connecticut in 1910. He was self-taught and the only one of the Hoosier Group painters without European training.
