Taiwan Retrocession Day (Chinese: 臺灣光復節; pinyin: Taiwan guāngfùjié) is an annual observance in the Republic of China to commemorate the end of 50 years of Japanese colonial rule of Taiwan on October 25 1945 and the handover of Taiwan back to China.
