René Cutforth (6 February 1909 Derbyshire – 1984) was a British broadcaster and writer.Reynolds Cutforth came from Woodville Burton on Trent and was educated at Denstone College which he entered in September 1922. His first job was with the Midland Bank.Having seen service in the Army in Ethiopia Eritrea and the Western Desert Campaign and having been a prisoner of war in Italy and Germany he joined the BBC in 1946.
