Produced by Marvel Entertainment in 2001 the ‘ReCharge Collectible Card Game’ is a trading card game based on Marvel Superheroes. Released after the Wizards of the Coast X-Men Trading Card Game this game never took off[citation needed] possibly due to its extremely simple mechanics or its use of art borrowed from comics. It was subsumed by UpperDeck’s Vs. System which is still the torch-bearer as the main Marvel TCG.
