In medicine Raynaud’s phenomenon /reɪˈnoʊz/ or Raynaud phenomenon is excessively reduced blood flow in response to cold or emotional stress causing discoloration of the fingers toes and occasionally other areas. This condition may also cause nails to become brittle with longitudinal ridges.
