Ralph Lee Earnhardt (February 23 1928 – September 26 1973) was a NASCAR driver. He was the father of Dale Earnhardt Sr.; the grandfather of Dale Earnhardt Jr. Kelly Earnhardt Taylor Putnam and Kerry Earnhardt and great grandfather of Jeffrey Earnhardt and Bobby Dale Earnhardt. Earnhardt helped get Bobby Isaac his start in racing.
