Quiz bowl (also known as quizbowl scholars’ bowl and academic bowl) is a quiz game that tests players on academic subjects. It is commonly played by college and high school students and sometimes by middle and elementary school students. The game is typically played with a lockout buzzer system between at least two teams most commonly consisting of four or five players each.
